Henry Ford Choice members have access to world-class health care close to home from Henry Ford Health. As part of the Henry Ford Choice network, members can take advantage of high-quality care and save money on monthly premiums in the process.
How does an employee's health care work in the network?
The Henry Ford Choice network includes more than 5,000 doctors and facilities that are part of Henry Ford Health. Members will select a primary care physician (PCP) within Henry Ford Health and that doctor will help coordinate care with other doctors in the system as needed. If a member needs specialty care, they will be referred to a specialist within Henry Ford Health.
Our Find a Doctor tool is available to help members find a primary care physician and other services within the network. Before any appointment, members should use this tool to make sure the doctor accepts the Henry Ford Choice plan. Some facilities include doctors that aren't part of the Henry Ford Choice network.
What facilities are included in the network?
This network includes Henry Ford Health locations such as
- Henry Ford Hospital
- Henry Ford Kingswood Hospital (behavioral health)
- Henry Ford Macomb Hospital - Clinton Township
- Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital
- Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital
It also includes medical centers, lab service centers, pharmacies, rehabilitation facilities and walk-in clinics and urgent care centers.
Henry Ford Allegiance is not affiliated nor included as a participating provider under the Henry Ford Choice network.
What if an employee needs emergency or urgent care?
All HAP health plans, including Henry Ford Choice plans, cover any emergency care at a hospital. Once you are stabilized, you will be transferred to a Henry Ford hospital if necessary. If you have a medical situation that isn’t life-threatening, you can get help fast at a Henry Ford Choice network walk-in clinic or urgent care centers. These clinics treat conditions such as:
- Back pain
- Flu symptoms
- Minor fractures
- Sprains
