Henry Ford Choice members have access to world-class health care close to home from Henry Ford. As part of the Henry Ford Choice network, you can take advantage of this high-quality care and save money on monthly premiums in the process. Choice network doctors, specialists and facilities work together to coordinate care – leading to lower premiums for your employees.
The Henry Ford Choice network includes doctors and other health care providers within Henry Ford Health. Your primary care doctor will be part of the Henry Ford system and will coordinate care with other doctors within the Henry Ford system as needed.
If you need specialty care, you’ll be referred to a specialist within Henry Ford Health. In the rare event you need to see a specialist outside of Henry Ford Health, your doctor will work with us to get a referral to either the University of Michigan’s University Hospital or C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

Before you schedule an appointment, make sure the doctor accepts your coverage. Some facilities include doctors who aren’t part of the Henry Ford Choice network.
All HAP health plans, including Henry Ford Choice plans, cover any emergency care at a hospital. Once you are stabilized, you will be transferred to a Henry Ford hospital if necessary.
