HAP offers the SilverSneakers® fitness program to our Medicare Advantage and group retiree members. This benefit is designed to help you stay active, improve your health and connect with your community—all at no additional cost.

 

Key highlights of the SilverSneakers benefit:

  • For HAP members residing near the Detroit area, you have local access to select Detroit area YMCA fitness centers. Current YMCA members will be able to retain their YMCA membership through reimbursement arrangements. Contact SilverSneakers or your YMCA for details.
  • For members in Michigan, you can join local area gyms like Lifetime, Crunch Fitness, Planet Fitness, Gold’s Gym, LA Fitness and more.
  • Enjoy access to thousands of participating fitness locations* nationwide, each offering various amenities.
  • You can enroll at multiple locations simultaneously, giving you the flexibility to choose the most convenient options.

  • Travelling? No problem. The SilverSneakers network is available nationwide. So, when you’re travelling, you’ll still be able to find a location to work out — wherever you are in the U.S.
  • Participate in SilverSneakers classes** designed for all fitness levels and abilities.
  • Take advantage of SilverSneakers On-Demand, which offers over 200 online classes and workshops available 24/7.
  • Join SilverSneakers LIVE virtual classes led by specially trained instructors, available seven days a week.

Active&Fit discount gym membership and fitness benefit for HAP Commercial Members in Michigan

Enhance your exercise experience with HAP's Active&Fit Direct™ program

HAP's Active&Fit Direct™ program is designed to help you lead a happier, healthier life through regular exercise. This program offers a comprehensive fitness membership for a low monthly fee (plus an enrollment fee and applicable taxes). There is no long-term contract, providing you with the flexibility to change your fitness center anytime or to stop using the program.

Key highlights of the Active&Fit Direct™ program:

Choose from over 12,700 participating standard fitness centers nationwide, including more than 300 in Michigan.

Access 8,700+ on-demand workout videos featuring well-known instructors like LES MILLS™, Jillian Michaels and YogaFit.

Enjoy the flexibility of a month-to-month membership with no long-term contract.

  • Ability to enroll a spouse or domestic partner for additional monthly fees.
  • Access to a Facebook and YouTube community for health tips and workout classes.
  • Use of 250+ wearable trackers and apps to monitor your activity and stay on top of your fitness goals.
  • One-on-one well-being coaching in areas such as fitness, nutrition, stress and sleep.

How to enroll and use the benefit:

  • Log in to your hap.org account.
  • Click on "My Health & Wellbeing," then select "Active&Fit."
  • Complete the registration process to create your account.
  • Search the online directory for participating fitness centers in your area.
  • With over 12,700 options, you can switch fitness centers anytime to find your perfect fit.
  • Pay a $28 enrollment fee (with an option to add a spouse in the same household).
  • Pay $28 for the current and next month.
  • Applicable taxes will be added.
  • Recurring $28 monthly payments start the second month. Fees are per participant and paid directly to Active&Fit Direct.
  • Once registered, view your fitness card online. Print or take a screenshot of the card and present it at the participating fitness center to get an access card.
  • If you are already a member of a fitness center, you may need to freeze your current contract.
  • Work out as much or as little as you want with no minimum visits required.
