HAP Friends and Family Cross the Crim Finish Line Amid Thunderstorms and Rain

FLINT, Mich..– Despite rain, thunderstorms and lightning, the 42nd HAP Crim Festival of Races continued in downtown Flint this past Saturday. HAP employees, friends and family members participated. Some included:

Terri Kline, President & CEO of HAP, said
“Our partnership with the Crim Fitness Foundation is very special to HAP. We share the same values.  We share the same commitment to Flint and Genesee County. And we share the same commitment to health and wellness.

We understand there’s a definite correlation between the health of a community and whether that community is able to thrive. And if there was ever a community that deserves to thrive, it’s Flint.”

Raul Sosa, World Class Fitness Expert
HAP is partnering with Sosa to showcase his journey to the Ironman World Championship. HAP executives are inspired by Raul’s story and proud to support a local athlete on the world stage.

In the upcoming weeks, Sosa will offer tips and a peek at his training regimen for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, this October. Sosa serves as an example to all HAP members and others working toward fitness goals. All are invited to watch his journey via HAP social media channels.

Bob Minasian, first-time 5K Crim Runner, said
“Physical activity has always been a part of my life. By the time I was four I was playing baseball and remained active in sports including football, wrestling and jogging outdoors. More recently, I discovered that I really enjoyed the benefits of running. For me, it’s not just a way to manage my weight. It’s a freeing exercise that happens to keep me healthy. So, when I heard about the HAP Crim Festival of Races, I was interested.”

“I’m 60. And I’ve had some health scares related to weight gain and high blood pressure. Physical activity is a way for me to get my health back on track.”
