Individual and family plans
We’re here to help you choose and understand your plan
Whether you're new to HAP or a longtime member, one thing is sure: You're in the right place.
That's because we offer more than an ID card. We offer a leading network of doctors and hospitals, award-winning customer service and many benefits other health plans simply don't provide. It's that level of service and care that's made HAP a trusted choice for more than 50 years.
We'll help you make the right choice for you and your family. You can learn more about our plans and how they work or start shopping for plan.
You have two periods during the year to purchase a health plan - Open Enrollment or Special Enrollment.
Open enrollment happens annually and starts November 1. For 2019 plans, the open enrollment period is November 1, 2018 through December 15, 2018. A health plan purchased during open enrollment will begin covering you Jan. 1, 2019.
A special enrollment period, or SEP, occurs outside of the annual open enrollment period and can occur any time you have a qualifying life event. Qualifying life events include, but aren't limited to:
- Changes in family size (marriage, divorce, birth of a child, etc)
- Loss of coverage
- Relocating to a new area
- Certain changes in income
See if you qualify for an SEP and learn how to enroll.
Whatever your situation, we'll help you make the right choice for you and your family. You can learn more about our plans and how they work or start shopping for plan.
