Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health launches “Win Your Classroom Wish List” contest to support Michigan public school teachers

TROY, Mich. — Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health is bringing back its “Win Your Classroom Wish List” contest to expand support for Michigan public school teachers ahead of the new school year.

This year, the health plan will award $20,000 to teachers across Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Winners will be selected through a random drawing, with each receiving up to $500 to help stock their classrooms with essential supplies. Awards will be distributed by purchasing items from teachers’ Amazon wish lists.

A recent teacher spending survey found educators in Michigan spend more than $800 out of pocket on school supplies each year. Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health aims to ease that burden by giving teachers more opportunities to win support for classroom supplies.

“Every year, public school educators dig into their own pockets to help their students succeed,” said Margaret Anderson, president of Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health. “We want teachers to know their work matters. We are proud to stand with them as a trusted partner and support both educators and students throughout their journey.”

Since launching the program in 2024, Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health has awarded more than $40,000 to dozens of teachers across Michigan. The contest returns this year with a continued focus on helping more classrooms win the resources they need.

Entry period:

The contest opens at 12 p.m. ET on July 13, 2026, and closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on July 19, 2026.

The contest is open to Michigan public school teachers in the Lower Peninsula who are 18 or older. Eligible participants must follow Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health on Facebook and comment “followed” on the contest post during the entry period for a chance to win.
