DETROIT – Health Alliance Plan has appointed Marc Vanderburg to the position of vice president, Business Development and Consumer Solutions. In this position, he is responsible for driving customer service excellence and growth for HAP, which includes the sales and retention activities for all lines of HAP business.
Vanderburg has nearly 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and operations, which includes nine years at HAP in various capacities.
Prior to this appointment, Vanderburg served as associate vice president of Account Solutions, where he was responsible for the service and retention of HAP’s large and small employer group customers. Before that, he was the director of HAP’s producer business, responsible for managing the growth and retention of the business generated by HAP agents, as well as HAP’s public-sector book of business.

Vanderburg holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Eastern Michigan University. He is also a graduate of Leadership Detroit and holds a Michigan Producer’s Insurance License. Vanderburg resides in Huntington Woods, Mich.
