On Your Mark, Get Set, Run – in HAP’s 5K Challenge on Sept. 25!

Running isn’t bad for you.

Bad running is bad for you.

More than 100 HAP and HealthPlus members and guests learned this at a kick-off meeting for HAP’s 5K Challenge, which is Sunday, Sept. 25 at Oakland University.

Sherry McLaughlin, exercise expert from the Michigan Institute for Human Performance, coached on great running form. She covered the top-five running injuries and running pain.

McLaughlin also shared helpful nutrition tips, including balancing protein, carbs and water.
