"Proximity matters. It allows us to build relationships face-to-face, respond to local needs and move faster when employers need answers," said Margaret Anderson, president of Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health. "Opening this new office is a tangible reflection of our long-term commitment to West Michigan, and it reflects the same thoughtful, deliberate approach we've taken to growing our presence across the region."

Health Alliance TPA administers health benefits for self-funded employers — handling claims and plan management so employers can design benefits their way while tapping into the resources of Henry Ford Health's clinical network. The organization brings expanded innovation and care solutions to employer partners, from onsite nursing services to mobile mammography units that make preventive care more convenient for employees.

“Employers today are balancing rising health care costs, workforce needs and increasingly complex decisions about how to provide benefits,” said Chris Moyer, senior vice president of Markets at Health Alliance Plan and president of Health Alliance TPA. “Health Alliance TPA gives employers another way to tap into the expertise, flexibility and resources of an integrated health system while maintaining the personalized service and local relationships they value."

The opening of this new office reflects our continued investment in West Michigan and will allow us to work more closely across Health Alliance Plan and Health Alliance TPA to deliver the solutions employers in this region are looking for.”

As part of Health Alliance Plan’s commitment to the community, the organization will contribute $25,000 to Meals on Wheels Western Michigan. Access to nutritious food and reliable resources plays an important role in improving health outcomes, and supporting these needs reflects Health Alliance Plan’s commitment to helping people live healthier lives.

The health plan recently announced it is now Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health, more clearly reflecting the organization’s 40-year integration with Henry Ford Health. With coverage and care working together, members experience fewer administrative barriers, better coordinated care and improved outcomes, benefits that extend across the plan's broad statewide network, which includes 96% of providers across the lower peninsula. Wherever members receive care, Health Alliance Plan translates proven approaches into plan offerings that create a more connected, effective and affordable experience. The brand evolution also included Health Alliance TPA by Henry Ford Health (formerly ASR Health Benefits), further aligning its self-funded offerings for employers with the broader integrated system.
