Chris Moyer Promoted to Senior Vice President of Markets at Health Alliance Plan

Expands Leadership Role to Drive Enterprise Growth While Continuing as President of ASR Health Benefits

Troy, MI — March 4, 2026 — Health Alliance Plan (HAP) today announced the promotion of Chris Moyer to HAP Senior Vice President of Markets as an expansion of his role as President of ASR Health Benefits (ASR), an employer health benefit plan third-party administrator and subsidiary of HAP. Moyer will oversee HAP’s enterprise growth strategy, driving membership, revenue and competitive positioning across all lines of business.

“Chris has consistently demonstrated strategic insight and leadership that has strengthened HAP’s market position,” said Margaret Anderson, President of HAP. “Under his leadership, ASR has delivered unprecedented business results and is well positioned for continued success. I am confident Chris will continue to build on HAP’s strong momentum and drive enterprise-wide growth in this role.”

Since joining HAP in 2023 as President of ASR, Moyer has been instrumental in advancing HAP’s growth strategy. ASR grew by 12% over the past year, building on its recent partnership with Nomi Health to connect self-funded employers with health systems and providers in an innovative direct-care model that eliminates out-of-pocket costs for employees.

Moyer will oversee Danny Lopaze (Vice President of Government Programs and General Manager), Ari Schwartz (Vice President, Strategy and Engagement) and Marc Vanderburg (Vice President, Commercial Sales and Retention) while continuing to serve as an integral member of HAP’s executive leadership team.

“I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and collaborating with our agent partners, individuals and employer groups to offer solutions that meet their needs and address the healthcare affordability challenges Michiganders continue to face,” Moyer said. “Healthcare has become out of reach for too many people. HAP and Henry Ford Health are deeply committed to making high-quality care more affordable and accessible, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help advance this important work.”

Moyer brings more than 30 years of experience in the health benefits space, including his tenure at Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where he led its third-party administrator division, HealthNow Administrative Services. He has been active with the Greater Philadelphia Area Health Underwriters since 2011, served on its Board of Directors and is a member of the Self Insurance Institute of America and Health Care Administrators of America.
