TROY, Mich. — As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting Michigan’s educators, HAP is announcing the return of its “Win Your Classroom Wish List” contest. Now in its second year, the initiative will award more than $20,000 to help public school teachers across Michigan stock their classrooms with supplies for the new school year.
In a recent survey, teachers reported spending more than $800 of their own money on classroom materials last year. HAP aims to ease that burden by offering teachers the chance to win up to $500 toward items on their Amazon classroom wish lists.
Last year, HAP awarded more than $14,000 to help Michigan educators kick off the school year. This year, the contest is back — bigger and better — with increased enthusiasm and support for local teachers and students.

“We’ve always believed in recognizing the dedication of our educators and finding ways to support the incredible work they do,” said Marc Vanderburg, vice president of commercial business at HAP. “Helping teachers get the supplies they need is one small way we can show our appreciation and make a tangible difference this school year. After seeing the impact last year, we’re happy to bring this initiative back.”
Entry period:
The contest opens at midnight EDT on Aug. 4, 2025, and closes at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Aug. 10, 2025. All eligible Michigan public school teachers who follow HAP on Facebook and comment with their Amazon wish list during the entry period will be entered for a chance to win. The Contest is open only to teachers within the lower peninsula of Michigan who are eighteen (18) years of age or older.
