Henry Ford Health Announces Interim President for Health Alliance Plan

DETROIT – Henry Ford Health announced today that Margaret Anderson, Senior Vice President, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Health Alliance Plan, will assume the role of interim president of the company, effective immediately. She replaces Dr. Michael Genord, who has left the organization.

With more than 25 years in the healthcare industry, Anderson has a wide breadth of experience across all insurance market segments including large and small employer groups, government programs (Medicare and Medicaid) and individual sales. Anderson oversees HAP’s strategic planning function, sales, and service for all products, as well as the teams responsible for the company’s digital strategy, product development, advertising, public relations, marketing, community outreach, worksite wellness and market intelligence.

Henry Ford Health president and CEO Bob Riney says HAP will continue to serve its members seamlessly through the transition.

“With a relentless focus on improving the customer experience, Margaret and the HAP executive team have consistently prioritized serving HAP members and addressing the challenges of the communities where HAP operates,” said Riney. “I am confident that Margaret will do an exceptional job in advancing our commitment to value-based care, leading our best-in-class team at HAP, and continuing to always put the health and wellbeing of our members first.”
