HAP Regional Director Bridget Hollingsworth Honored at Women in Power Summit

DETROIT – Bridget Hollingsworth, HAP’s regional director of new business and account solutions, was honored at the Third Annual Women in Power Summit. She was recognized for her community service and outreach.

Hollingsworth was honored for her work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flint and Genesee County on projects like the annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser. She was also lauded for her service on the board of directors and executive committee for the United Way of Saginaw County.

The summit, which was held in Flint in June, is a PAPAS, Inc. (Pick A Place and Start) signature event which recognizes and celebrates the personal and professional developments of Flint-area women. PAPAS, Inc. is a community development corporation focused on revitalizing the Flint and Genesee County community through collaborative volunteer and donor efforts.

“Each of us must take responsibility for improving the world we live in. I live and work in Genesee County and could not ignore the challenges our region is facing. It is really important for me to be involved,” said Hollingsworth. “I am just happy that I’ve been blessed to work for a company like HAP that encourages and supports my efforts.”

Hollingsworth is also a Leadership Saginaw alumna. As part of a graduate project, Hollingsworth helped to implement the Junior Leadership Saginaw program for local eighth and tenth graders. This junior version of Leadership Saginaw, which ran through 2011, provided over 300 Saginaw area teens with leadership skills and training for community participation.

In her spare time, Hollingsworth is currently collecting shoes and funds for the United Way of Saginaw County’s Community Shoe Drive which ends on Sept. 3.

Hollingsworth lived in Saginaw for 30 years before moving to her current residence in Flushing, Mich.
