Public encouraged to donate supplies for DPSCD classrooms
DETROIT - Health Alliance Plan (HAP) is partnering with the Detroit Public Schools Community District to help students and teachers prepare for the upcoming school year by hosting a Back-to-School Supply Drive.
The much-needed items will be collected between August 1 and August 25. All supplies donated will be given directly to the DPSCD for use in its classrooms this year.
"HAP has a strong tradition of giving back to the community wherever we can," said Tom Spring, director of wellness and community outreach, Health Alliance Plan. "The Detroit Public Schools serve the families of Detroit and so does HAP. When there's a need, we want to work together to address it."
