The award marks two of the last three years HAP has been ranked #1 by J.D. Power’s study. But what is this award? How is it measured? And what does it mean for our health plans? Read on to learn more.
How did HAP win the award?
Between January and March 2021, J.D. Power reached out to people nationwide. They asked them to evaluate their commercial health plan over the last 12 months. J.D. Power heard from 32,066 members about 150 health plans in 22 regions throughout the U.S.
The results? HAP ranked #1 for commercial health plans in Michigan.
Because the award is response-based, it means members like you helped us win this honor. Thank you for trusting us as your health plan, especially during 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic.
What attributes were measured?
The study measures overall customer satisfaction. It rates plans based on six key factors:
- Billing and payment
- Coverage and benefits
- Customer service
- Information and communication
- Provider choice
