Try these stretches anytime you need a break. You'll relieve tension and improve your posture.

Ragdoll stretch

Stretching has many benefits but it also just feels good. Watch our video to learn how to do the ragdoll, which targets your lower back, neck and shoulders.

1. Stand with your feet under your hips, arms at your sides.
2. Engage your core.
3. Imagine drawing your navel toward your spine to protect your lower back. Hinge forward from your hips with your knees slightly bent and bring your forehead toward your knees.
4. Let your arms hang loosely with your fingertips dangling toward the floor.
5. Breathe normally and hold for a slow count of five to 10.

Chest stretch

Your mother was right. Standing up straight does make you look better! Here’s a quick stretch that opens your chest and improves your posture.

1. Stand with your feet under your hips and lift your arms out at shoulder height, with your thumbs up, making a T shape.
2. Gently pull your arms back toward each other until you feel a stretch.
3. Hold for a slow count of 5-10.
