Getting to Know Our Health Care Cost Estimator

One of the biggest questions people ask when they get a treatment or procedure is: “how much will this cost?” To answer that question, we built our Health Care Cost Estimator. It’s a helpful online tool that helps members understand costs before getting care. Members can search by treatment type, browse by medical condition and compare costs between providers.

If you’d rather jump right in, start by logging in at hap.org and clicking “Heath Care Cost Estimator.” Then, you can search by treatment type, browse by medical condition and more. The tool will show personalized results, which are based on your health plan and location.

*Some things you should know:

• The Health Care Cost Estimator is available to HAP members, with the exception of those with Medicare plans.

• Some providers may show up in the results that are not part of your network or may not accept your plan. Please check with your doctor to make sure.

• Always check with your doctor and HAP on prior authorization and network requirements before making an appointment.

• If you have a spouse or dependent on your HAP plan over age 18, you will not be able to view that person's information.
