Healthier Medicare is closer than you think. Most of our Medicare plans come with the following supplemental benefits. 

Dental

$3,000 max for preventive and comprehensive services combined including 2 oral exams, 2 cleanings or 2 periodontal cleanings, 2 fluoride treatments, brush biopsy, 1 set of bitewings per year and 50% on root canals, fillings, crown repairs and extractions.

Vision

$0 copays on routine exams and $150 allowance for eyewear or contacts through EyeMed providers. 

Hearing

$0 routine hearing exams and hearing aid fittings. Hearing aids are covered with a copay through NationsBenefits. 

Over-the-Counter (OTC)

Up to $400 yearly allowance on health and wellness items through NationsBenefits. The allowance is accumulated quarterly and can be rolled over quarterly if not used.

Flex Card

NationsBenefits offers a flexible benefit prepaid card on select plans that have up to $550 in allowances (depending on the plan) to help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses for dental, vision, hearing, over-the-counter (OTC), personal emergency response system (PERS), companion care and transportation services. 

Telehealth

Services using remote access technology such as a smartphone, laptop or tablet to connect virtually with a provider instantly. This benefit is supported by HAP's telehealth providers, and uses a nationwide network of thousands of doctors to provide care. Ask your primary care physician (PCP) about virtual care today! 

Visitor/Traveler Benefit

Travel benefits on select HMO plans extends coverage to Arizona, Florida, Michigan (out of service area) and Texas for up to 12 months. PPO extends coverage to members when traveling to any of the 49 states outside of Michigan.

Emergency travel protection

Travel worry-free with global travel emergency services from Assist America®, including identity theft protection, 24/7 professional fraud support and help with unexpected medical expenses.* 

Fitness Benefit

With SilverSneakers, you'll be able to access memberships at 15,000+ fitness locations from national gyms to local community centers. Online classes by Burnalong and At-Home kits for members who prefer to workout at home.

Health Alliance Plan (HAP) has HMO, HMO-POS, PPO plans with Medicare contracts. HAP Medicare Complete Duals (HMO D-SNP) is a Medicare health plan with a Medicare contract and a contract with the Michigan Medicaid Program. Enrollment depends on contract renewals.
