We work with our employer partners to provide a wide range of health plan types. Your employer may offer one or several HAP plans to choose from.
Our plan types include health maintenance organizations, or HMOs; preferred provider organizations, or PPOs; and exclusive provider organizations, or EPOs. These types of plans focus on preventive care and reducing the cost of health care
HMOs are usually more affordable than PPOs. HMO members coordinate their care through a primary care doctor. Though HAP doesn’t require you to get a referral from your primary care doctor to see a specialist, the specialist may require a referral. Check with the specialist’s office to find out if you need a referral from your primary care doctor before making an appointment. Find a doctor in our network.

You may be eligible to save on premiums by choosing one of our Choice HMO network options.
The Henry Ford Choice network is open to residents of Macomb and Wayne counties, as well as parts of Oakland County. This network includes doctors and facilities that are part of the Henry Ford system.
The Genesys Choice network is available to residents of Genesee County. Members who choose this plan have access to doctors and specialists within the Genesys Physician Hospital Organization, as well as health care facilities affiliated with Genesys Regional Medical Center.
