For nearly 75 years, Catholic Charities has been serving the most vulnerable residents of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties. From the heart of downtown Flint (Genesee County) and downtown Owosso (Shiawassee County), the agency has brought help and hope to thousands in need. During the cold weather, Catholic Charities serves an important role in keeping the homeless and near-homeless warm, clothed and fed through the services of three Soup Kitchens and two very busy Community Closets. Anyone in need may come in, sign up and "shop" our closet. Donations go out as quickly as they come in. Items for children are of special interest to the families. Coats, blankets, hats, mittens and scarves are available, but for people who may spend their entire day walking, boots are vitally important. Catholic Charities welcomes and is grateful for all donations.
