We know you miss going to the gym -- so we have options for you during this time.

  • Free virtual video workouts on the Silver&Fit Facebook page, Monday through Friday, at 1 p.m. ET.  
    • Participants need sturdy exercise shoes, a mat or non-skid floor, and a water bottle for hydrating. No other equipment needed. 
    • The class can also be viewed on YouTube
  • Home fitness kits (two per year) can also be sent as a substitution for a fitness facility. Sign up by visiting silverandfit.com or by calling (877) 427- 4788 (TTY/TDD: 711), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET. 
  • Silver&Fit’s ASHConnect™ mobile app, which has more than 250 on-demand exercise classes, informational videos and articles.

$0 Silver&Fit exercise and healthy aging program

HAP Medicare plans include an option to join the Silver&Fit exercise and healthy aging program for $0.

This program gives you:

  • Access to a wide network of fitness clubs and exercise centers and select YMCAs
  • Home Fitness kits. Each kit contains a DVD, an instructional booklet and a quick start guide.
  • Healthy Aging materials four times a year (available online or on DVD)
  • The Silver Slate® newsletter four times a year (available online or sent by email or U.S. mail)
  • The Silver&Fit Connected!™(1) program, a fun and easy way to track your exercise and earn rewards at a fitness center or through a wearable fitness device or app(2)
  • Other web tools, like a fitness center search, online educational classes, fitness challenges and more at SilverandFit.com 
  • A Hotline to answer questions
  • The Silver&Fit Rewards program(3), which offers a collectible hat and pins each time you meet your quarterly reward requirement

How to join:

Bring your HAP member ID card to any of the participating fitness centers and they can help you register. It's as simple as that, no additional credentials or registration is needed. 

If you'd like to receive an at-home fitness kit, you can order one from Silver&Fit.You can register online or call Silver&Fit at (877) 427-4788 (TTY:711).

Silver&Fit Fitness Center Program

As a HAP Medicare Advantage member, you can access participating fitness centers or YMCAs memberships at no cost. You can even switch to another participating center monthly. Silver&Fit includes a wide network of fitness centers and select YMCAs.

Choices include:

  • Basic fitness centers that include equipment like treadmills, elliptical machines and free weights
  • Full fitness centers that include classes like yoga and Zumba® or the official Silver&Fit Signature Series Classes
  • Gender-specific fitness centers
  • Exercise centers that offer services beyond a standard fitness center. Included are things such as lap pools, saunas, yoga or Pilates
  • The Silver&Fit network includes more than 400 fitness centers in Michigan and more than 13,000 nationwide, including:
    • Senior and recreation centers
    • Yoga studios

  1. Enter your ZIP code in the fitness center search at Silver&Fit.com
  2. Or call Silver&Fit at (877) 427-4788 (TTY 711)
  • 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Seven Days a Week (Oct. 1 - March 31)
  • 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday (April 1 - Sept. 30)

Can’t travel to a fitness center or prefer working out at home?

No problem. Enroll in the Silver&Fit Home Fitness Program. You can choose from a selection of over 20 Home Fitness Kits, which may include a DVD, booklet and a quick start guide. You can choose up to two kits each benefit year. Some examples include the yoga kit, the tai chi beginner kit, and the total body workout kit.
