National Blood Donor Month
The Gift of Life
Blood is traditionally in short supply during the winter months due to the holidays, travel schedules, inclement weather and illness. January, in particular, is a difficult month for blood centers to collect blood donations. A reduction in blood donations can put our nation's blood inventory at a critical low.
The month of January is National Blood Donor Month. There are ways you can help to increase the blood supply this winter:
- Give Blood
- Organize a Blood Drive
- Volunteer at Your Local Blood Center
