Cancer develops when normal cells change and begin to grow quickly. These cells damage the healthy cells and can travel to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph nodes. It is not clear why these cells change. We do know that over-exposure to the sun, toxic chemicals and certain viruses such as human papilloma can increase a person's risk for cancer.
