I lost my job and have COBRA. Can I get less expensive coverage through the ACA?

If you are getting COBRA coverage, you may find that there are already lower-cost individual health insurance options available to you through HAP. The ACA provides financial assistance for low- and middle-income individuals who qualify based on their income and family size. If your COBRA coverage runs out or if you choose to end it, you will be able to change from COBRA coverage to coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace at any time, even if it's not during the annual open enrollment period.
