How do I handle referrals for cosmetic and other non-covered services?

Members should be advised that these services are not covered and will not be paid by HAP. If they wish to proceed with obtaining the service the member should sign a waiver, accepting responsibility for payment. Do not submit a claim to HAP for payment. If the member needs a denial letter for their secondary insurance, call the Referral Management department at (313) 664-8950 for assistance.
