Can I refer patients to any contracted free-standing facility or hospital?

Yes. Except for designated Centers of Excellence services, (for example, transplants, Bariatric surgery, etc.) that require prior authorization from HAP, you are free to refer patients to any HAP contracted free-standing facility or hospital. Please continue to refer to the “Referral Requirement List” for information on any service that still requires a prior authorization from HAP.
