Standing strong: Fall prevention
As we get older, the risk of falling increases. It’s important to build your strength, improve your balance and increase flexibility. Join us for a fun and interactive event designed to give you the tools you need to stand strong and prevent slips and falls.
Physical therapist Sherry McLaughlin from the Michigan Institute for Human Performance will join us to discuss:
- Key facts about your body’s design
- How to fall-proof your body and your home
- Simple techniques to increase balance and strength
Nurses will be available for free blood pressure screenings, and a healthy boxed lunch will be available after the program.
