Individual Qualified Health Plans (Off Marketplace)

HAP offers a variety of Off Marketplace PPO and HMO plans that should be considered. As a reminder, premium tax credits on the marketplace are calculated by the estimated household income for 2020. If, at the end of the year, an individual has taken more advance payments of the premium tax credit than eligible for, they’ll have to pay money back when filing their federal income tax return. This is called reconciling the advance payments of premium tax credit and the actual premium tax credit qualified for, based on final 2020 income.

HAP is here, carrying over deductibles

HAP is always looking for unique ways to bring better value to our members. Once a member joins, their health care costs from a previous plan carries over to a new HAP Personal Alliance health plan. These are costs they already paid toward their deductible. We want to ensure members aren’t starting over just because they needed to find a new plan.
