Winter Boots Arrive Just in Time for First Snow of Season

Photo and interview opportunities this week at "Boots for Kids" deliveries in Bay City, Davison, Flint, Lapeer, Port Huron and Saginaw

FLINT – November 30, 2011 – Local shelters will receive their first shipment of new winter boots for children this week, thanks to generous community support of Health Alliance Plan's "Boots for Kids" program.

In an effort to help local children stay warm and dry this winter, Health Alliance Plan (HAP) and more than 30 community partners are collecting new children's winter boots from now until the end of January. Just in time for the start of a snowy season, HAP will deliver the first shipment of boots this week to Carriage Town Ministries of Flint, Flint Eastside Mission, Outreach East in Davison, Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City, City Rescue Mission of Saginaw, Love INC of Greater Lapeer and Pathway Shelter of Port Huron.

Members of the media are invited to join HAP representatives as they deliver boots starting today (Wednesday, November 30) at the following locations:
