HAP Ranked Highest in Member Satisfaction among Michigan Health Plans in J.D. Power and Associates Study
DETROIT -- March 31, 2011 -- Health Alliance Plan members rated HAP "Highest in Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in Michigan for the fourth consecutive year," according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 U.S. Member Health Insurance Plan StudySM.
HAP's 2011 performance increased, surpassing its 2010 score. HAP achieved a score of 769 on a 1,000-point scale -- two points higher than last year -- which dramatically exceeds the Michigan average score of 696. This significant accomplishment occurred despite an overall decrease in member satisfaction in the health plan industry, according to the study.

HAP ranks highest in Overall Member Experience and continues to deliver the highest member satisfaction in Michigan, earning the five-circle "Among the Best" J.D. Power.com Power Circle Ratings in all seven factors measured in the study: Coverage and Benefits, Provider Choice, Information and Communication, Statements, Claims Processing, Customer Service and Approval Processes.
