Winter Boots Will Arrive Just in Time for Big Snowfall
Photo and interview opportunity Tuesday, February 1 at "Boots for Kids" delivery to shelters in Bay City, Flint, Lapeer, Port Huron and Saginaw
FLINT -- January 31, 2011 -- Health Alliance Plan's "Boots for Kids" winter boot drive has come to a close just in time for a winter storm that forecasters are predicting to bring the biggest snowfall of the season.
With the help of community partners throughout the region, HAP surpassed its 2011 goal by collecting more than 600 pairs of new winter boots for children served by Carriage Town Ministries of Flint, City Rescue Michigan of Saginaw, Flint Eastside Mission, Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City, Love INC of Greater Lapeer and Pathway Shelter of Port Huron.
Members of the media are invited to join Health Alliance Plan (HAP) representatives as they deliver the final shipment of boots to recipients on Tuesday, February 1 at the following locations:
