The Christian organization known as the Eastside Compassionate Mission Center, Inc. exists
to make life better for all the people of Flint’s Eastside by bringing available resources
(individuals, churches, philanthropic organizations and community groups) in contact with
needs. Everything we do is with the purpose of up-lifting people with people. Eastside
Compassionate Mission Center, Inc. is an organization of caring individuals working together
with those who need and desire the assistance of a “hand-up” as opposed to a “hand-out.”

Love INC is a network of churches that link volunteers to people in need. It is a co-operative
efort between churches and service agencies to provide efective help to the disadvantaged.
Love INC utilizes the goods and services provided by church members, as well as available
resources from community agencies/organizations. While it is not possible to provide
same-day services to those in need, we do however; provide food on a daily basis.
How Boots for Kids Helps Us:
“Federal funding requires all preschool children to spend a specifc amount of time
outdoors playing in reasonable weather. The Boots for Kids program helps to ensure that
these children can participate in this daily activity.”

Pathway Shelter is a 28-bed facility that provides services to the homeless, survivors of
domestic violence or sexual assault. Some of the other services that are ofered include:
referrals to the Family Independence Agency (FIA), clothing assistance, and nutritional meals.
