How Boots for Kids Helps Us:
“The Boots for Kids boot drive is a wonderful project. We see so many children who come
to our shelter and do not have the proper footwear for the cold Michigan winter. It does
our heart good to see the children receive not just boots, but brand new boots! This
project puts a smile on the child’s face as well as their mom’s.”
Unemployment has taken a toll on children in
Michigan, with 36 percent living in families in which
neither parent has a full-time, year-round job.
