You should also look at your employee wellness program offerings to make sure you include financial wellness and stress management programs. HAP has recently added a financial wellness workshop to our list of worksite wellness offerings.
Charles Hoff from DFCU Financial is new to our repertoire of speakers. Charles offers workshops that address personal money management, credit management and building personal wealth. As a presenter for DFCU since 1999 he provides an easy-to-understand approach to budgeting and finances.

Health Topic of the Month - Depression
It certainly would not be unusual to feel a little "blue" right now. It has been a long, cold winter with many gray days and it sometimes seems that spring will never arrive. In addition, many television and radio stations have non-stop broadcasting coverage about the depressed economic environment and the housing foreclosure situation. Most of us have been impacted in some way by these two crises. But when does feeling "blue" cross over to depression?
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, depression is defined as "a serious medical illness. It is more than just feeling 'down in the dumps'. It's feeling 'down' and 'low' and 'hopeless' for weeks at a time."
Depression affects twice as many women as men. Although it is not exactly known what causes clinical depression, there are many theories which includes genetics, environmental, biological and medical factors.
If you think you or a loved one may be suffering from depression, seek help from your health care provider. Depression is not a sign of personal weakness.
