Managing High Blood Pressure

Our Managing High Blood Pressure program begins with a blood pressure screening, is followed by four one-hour educational sessions, and concludes with another blood pressure screening.

Your employees will learn:

  • what their blood pressure is and what it means
  • how their cardiovascular system works
  • how high blood pressure affects their health
  • how to manage their blood pressure through diet, medication, and physical activity

Why is this so important?

  • One in three adults have high blood pressure (also known as hypertension), and nearly one-third of these people don't know they have it.
  • Even 60% of those that do know they have high blood pressure aren’t able to keep it under control.
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to stroke, heart attack, heart failure or kidney failure.
  • High blood pressure is among the top 10 most costly conditions for employers.*
