National Alcohol Screening Day
Approximately 14 million Americans have alcohol disorders. Research shows that treatment can save lives, restore families, reduce health care costs, increase productivity in the workplace, and make communities safer.
National Alcohol Screening Day® (NASD) is an annual event in April that provides information about alcohol and health as well as free, anonymous screening for alcohol-use disorders. HAP, in conjunction with six area health plans, is promoting this important day.
Are you at risk for alcohol abuse?
To determine your risk, attend a screening site. A list of registered screening sites can be found at www.nationalalcoholscreeningday.org. Then click on "Find an Alcohol Screening Day site near you." Appointments are strongly encouraged; however, walk-ins will also be accommodated.
