HAP Senior Leadership: Maurice E. McMurray
Maurice McMurray serves as Vice President and General Counsel of Health Alliance Plan and Corporate Secretary of the Health Alliance Plan board of directors. Prior to joining HAP, McMurray was Senior Counsel at Henry Ford Health System and Assistant Counsel at General Motors Corporation. He has more than 17 years of legal experience as an in-house counsel, specializing in corporate and health care law. McMurray holds board positions with the Michigan Society of Healthcare Attorneys, The Greening of Detroit and The Virginia Park, Henry Ford Hospital Joint Venture. He is also on the Health Law Council for the Health Law Section of the Michigan State Bar, a charter member of 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit, and a graduate of Leadership Michigan and Leadership Detroit. McMurray earned his bachelor's degree from Wayne State University, his master of arts degree in Secondary Administration from the University of Michigan and his law degree from the Detroit College of Law.
