HAP Senior Leadership: Ronald Berry
Ron Berry is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for HAP.
In this capacity, Ron is responsible for managing the fiscal affairs of HAP, investments, underwriting, claims processing and related matters that ensure the integrity of HAP’s financial strength. He has extensive experience with establishing operational guidelines, communicating with regulatory agencies and developing business strategies.
Ron has more than 20 years of health care experience and is a certified public accountant.
Prior to joining HAP in 1988, Ron was a principal at Deloitte & Touche, L.L.P. with over 10 years of experience in providing auditing and consulting services to a wide spectrum of insurance and health care entities.
He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting from the University of Michigan – Flint. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of CPAs.
Ron has served on a number of local and national boards and committees, including: the Detroit Urban League, where is also serves as Treasurer, and the Mariner’s Inn. He is a past board member of the YMCA, the American Heart Association and The Heat and Warmth Fund.
