Emergency Care Coverage
A medical emergency is when you believe you have a condition that is critical or life threatening. Such situations require immediate medical attention. Examples of emergencies include heart attack, loss of consciousness, stroke, and heavy bleeding.
Emergency care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In an emergency situation, go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 for assistance. After visiting an emergency room, you should make a follow-up appointment with your PCP or regular physician.
