All Other Plans: Home-delivery Pharmacy Service
Medco Health manages home delivery pharmacy service for HAP. Mail order is especially appealing to individuals who are taking life "maintenance" medications to treat chronic conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes or those individuals who are taking prescription strength "non-maintenance" medications such as Ibuprofen.
How to enroll in the program:
- Register
- Phone - Call Medco Health to request an enrollment packet at (800) 987-5250.
- Online - Go to Medco's site and register. Enter your 9-digit HAP ID number as the Member Number.
- Ask your physician to provide a prescription written for a 90-day supply of medication.
- Complete the enrollment order form and mail it to Medco Health along with your original prescription and copayment. The copayment amount varies depending on whether the medication is a maintenance or non-maintenance drug.
- Prescriptions are delivered within 7 to 10 working days, via first class mail. When ordering, members should allow enough time so as to not run out of medication.
Refill or renew your prescriptions over the Internet safely and securely on the Medco Health Web site.
Maintenance Medications
Up to a 90-day supply is covered for drugs listed on the HAP Maintenance Drug List if filled at Medco Home Delivery Service. This applies to most strengths and oral dosage forms of the drugs listed (except where noted). Typically the charge for a 90-day supply is two copays but individual plans may vary.
Non-maintenance Medications
Using the mail order service, members may be charged two copays for drugs not listed on the maintenance drug list in cases where a 90-day supply is dispensed but may vary by individual plan.
