Ford Motor Company Selects HAP for Its Salaried Active Employees and Pre-65 Retirees
DETROIT – October 24, 2011 – Ford Motor Company has selected Health Alliance Plan (HAP) as the exclusive HMO carrier for its salaried active workforce and pre-65 retirees in southeast Michigan.
The HAP Health Engagement Aspire program, which begins on January 1, 2012, motivates employees to reach their personal health goals and save on out-of-pocket costs by making healthier choices—whether losing weight, quitting smoking or managing their cholesterol and high blood pressure. In the Enhanced program, members don't have to pay a deductible, and they'll receive fully covered preventive services, online tools to assist them in making health and benefit decisions, access to Weight Watchers® discounts, personalized wellness programs, and the new Assist America global emergency travel services. The provider network includes more than 10,000 of the leading physicians and the leading hospitals and health systems in southeast Michigan, including Detroit Medical Center, Henry Ford Health System, Oakwood Healthcare System, Trinity Health and University of Michigan Health System.
"HAP's relationship with Ford Motor Company spans 50 years, and we're so proud to serve multiple generations of Ford families," said HAP President and CEO Bill Alvin. "We've earned the trust of Ford Motor Company for our ability to bring to the table cost-effective solutions that improve the health and well-being of employees throughout their Ford careers and retirement years."
