Boots for Kids Gives the Gift of Warm Feet

HAP's East Central office is collecting new winter boots to prevent local children from facing a bitter cold winter without a warm pair of boots to protect their feet.

The boots will be distributed to families served by Carriage Town Ministries of Flint, City Rescue Mission of Saginaw, Flint Eastside Mission, Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City, Love INC of Greater Lapeer and Pathway Shelter in Port Huron.

In 2010, with the help of community partners throughout Bay, Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Saginaw and St. Clair counties, HAP collected over 650 pairs of boots (more than $16,000 estimated value). We hope to collect 1,000 pairs of boots this winter!
